There are never surprises on the McDonald’s menu. McDonald’s is the type of place where people go to get the same meals they’ve been eating their whole lives. It is the patrons themselves who bring variety and flavor. I spent nearly 3 months in 2013 visiting more than 400 McDonald’s across 33 states taking portraits of McDonald’s patrons and employees.
